Palo Pinto County Livestock Association
The Palo Pinto County Livestock Association (PPCLA) is a 100% volunteer-based, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting youth, agriculture, and community tradition in Palo Pinto County. Since 1937, PPCLA has proudly hosted the Palo Pinto County Livestock Show and Professional Rodeo, providing local 4-H and FFA members with a platform to showcase their livestock, ag mechanics, and horticulture projects each year.
What began as a small community gathering has grown into a long-standing county tradition rooted in education, hard work, and western heritage. Every event is made possible through the dedication of local volunteers, sponsors, and community members who believe in investing in the next generation of agricultural leaders.
The Association’s mission is to preserve and promote the values of agriculture, responsibility, and community pride—continuing a legacy that has thrived for nearly a century.
PPCLA PRCA Rodeo
Each spring, the Palo Pinto County Livestock Association brings the community together for the Mineral Wells PRCA Rodeo—a long-standing tradition packed with hometown pride and western fun. The celebration kicks off with the rodeo parade, followed by a lively street dance, exciting mutton bustin’, and three nights of PRCA-sanctioned rodeo action featuring top cowboys and stock. It’s a true showcase of our county’s rodeo spirit!
